The unseen tremor
As he walks inside
Better known as a stranger
Please don’t wake the child
He only want to
Stay for awhile
His one night stand
The wham, bam then
Thank you ma’am
Only a few
Can understand
Nine mouths later
The cheese is gone
The trap is reset
And placed by the door
Next to the dead rat
laying on the floor
Sniff and scurry
Hem and haw
Look close in
The mirror and
See who you
Truly are
A stranger in your own house
By far
Harlem,
