CNN televised the fiery passionate expression of a people in great despair. Poor people, angry, disenfranchised citizens of Missouri, Ferguson living and witnessing the American experiment. It was a day of shame that imbrue the fabric of our national conscious. This greasy spot will be forever burned on the entire nations memory. Malcolm X, my spiritual father came to mind; the man who gave me my manhood from the grave. My asthma then began to flare up while viewing this, mixed emotions surfaced as my chest had gotten tight. In the struggling final words of Eric Garner, “I can’t breathe”.

America has a very serious problem. Not only does America have a very serious problem but our people have a very serious problem. America’s problem is “Us”. It appears she doesn’t want us here.
However, some of our people act as if they don’t want to be here as well. Our actions, some of the dumb shit that we do doesn’t help our situation. When people, our people start to recognize this and wake up; smell the coffee they are serving themselves, then we can start plotting a course that will make us appear intelligent oppose to appear unintelligent.

Let’s keep it real. We have to change the perception that we give upon others about us. If you live in the hood it is your responsibility to do better for yourself, educate yourself and get out of the hood or make it better. There’s no boogie man pissing in the alley way, hallways and stairwell. There’s no little rich white man spray painting graffiti on the walls, no that would be you doing it. That’s you stealing cars for fun. That’s you braking into people homes. Look at yourself and reflect on what you are doing and most of important, observe how you affect the community in which we live. Camera phone record and snitch on that, why don’t Cha? You feel me? How about getting an education so you can make a difference? So that our children can look up to us oppose to looking down at us. The choice is yours. Besides, you are not in shape, nor do you have a plan or understand the ingredients for a real Revolution. Watch how you’ll run out, in numbers for Black Friday. They call it Black Friday because all the fools come out, in droves, giving their money away to the wealthy. That’s right, I said it.
A real revolution is bloody and it knows no compromise. There’s no marching or holding candles, singing a sad song either. The only thing you are ready for is revolutionizing your mind. Whether you be Black, Brown, Red, Yellow or different we have to revolutionize the way we think but first we must awaken the sleeping giant. Wake up the millions of people that are locked up and under the jail. Wake up the lost souls that are walking the streets like zombies. Wake up the people that has lost hope, lost faith in the idea of Justice for all.

The Black Family across the nation must move differently. We have to stop glorifying ignorance. That lifestyle leaves us dead and in jail. It’s about changing the minds of others. Changing the perception of the world in how others view you. Do your part and do your best work. Give your children some damn hope and earn your woman’s love and respect. How bout that? Stop playing the slots with your life. Yes, the odds are against us but let’s not prove their point. Be the change you want to see in the world. Be about it, don’t talk bout it.
Wake-up people
Aren’t you tired of the Michael Brown’s, of the world ? Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, Sean Bell and Eleanor Bumphis. How many more must die before we wake up as a people? The killing continues and the list grows. No more of our blood should flow heavy and thick in these dirty streets with no conviction. Some people feel that the police has a licenses to kill. Ferguson’s of the world… To demonize us, to imply and to refer us to Hulk Hogan as a grown man refers to himself as a five year old child who holds a gun. This is an insult to our intelligence, the true meaning of the American experience oppose to the American experiment.

Our sit down posture, balancing a guerrilla on our backs has to change. The only way you can shake this monkey off your back is by standing upright. No more do we allow others to take our lives senselessly. No more do we spend our dollar foolishly. No more do we throw our vote without meaning and without critical thought behind it.
Wake-Up
No more do we waste our shoe leather marching with puppets and their little nigglets. No more singing and no more turning the other cheek. Wake up Family because if the roles where reversed the outcome would be very different. But you do have a choice. A very difficult choice and decision to make and that is to spend your dollar differently. I’m talking about an economic revolution.
People of color has a spending power that gross over 1 trillion dollars annually. You have the collective power to bring about real change, an economic change almost overnight. Wake-up people. See and be the power that is already in your hands. Be the change you want the world to be.
I love you, more than you can ever imagine.
